This course provides an in-depth understanding of the atmospheric principles that influence weather and flight operations. Students will study the structure and composition of the atmosphere, pressure systems, temperature, humidity, stability, clouds, and precipitation formation. Emphasis is placed on how weather phenomena such as fronts, turbulence, icing, and thunderstorms develop and affect aircraft performance and safety.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a logbook endorsement from an authorized instructor.
